Sr. Project Manager / Producer
Engine Digital is seeking amethodical and resourceful Sr. Project Manager / Producer to join our Vancouver-based studio.
Our team is focused on producing immersive digital marketing campaigns and platforms that span web, mobile, social, and experiential channels for leading brands in verticals that include sports, entertainment, and media. We strive to connect our clients' brands with their consumers through clever and innovative user experiences that reach, engage, and convert visitors to customers.
The Project Manager guides, motivates and manages teams to deploy amazing digital marketing projects that creatively and technically impress. Internally, the Project Manager champions the objectives of the project while working to the constraints of time and budget. The Project Manager must have 5-6 years of experience in digital marketing deploying a variety of complex projects. Demonstrated experience managing mobile, social and platform projects in an agency environment is preferred.
The Project Manager thrives in an environment that demands an ability to think laterally and problem solve. The Project Manager is the pivotal contact point between the agency team and the client during projects, collaborating with the Account Management to ensure client projects are unfailingly executed. A compelling communicator, the Project Manager helps to drive sustainable success and fosters a team environment in which the best work can take place.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Guide projects from planning to deployment with a focus on top line agency goals including: client satisfaction, creative and technical success, quality, on-time delivery and profitability
- Manage all aspects of the project including planning, technical management, human factors and associated documentation
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the project with an emphasis on ensuring team members' work is progressing to plan. Work with the team so they clearly understand what they need to do and by when, employing daily scrums to identify and remove obstacles to progress
- Manage internal meetings, create agendas and produce minutes to ensure a transparent, effective approach for internal and external project communications
- Proactively communicate with clients, engagement managers and project teams to manage project governance, risks, and scope creep
- Communicate status to strategic and account teams with specific emphasis on progress vs. plan schedule, budget, risks and upcoming activities on a weekly basis. Escalate risks and issues appropriately
- Manage client expectations, prioritizing requirements or features to meet time, quality and profitability goals. Promptly act on client feedback
- Ensure team members are diligent in their time reporting on a weekly basis
- Keep project schedule baselines current and ensure that all activities are resourced. Responsible for linking current schedules to the master so resource planning and forecasting is enabled
- Understands and is responsible for the resourcing level of their project team
- Responsible for consolidating budgets and tracking estimates vs. actuals on a weekly basis
- Leverage project knowledge and client relationships to assist in revenue growth within the account
- Act as company advocate and embody the Engine Digital values
Required Skills / Experience
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 5 years project management experience managing interactive projects. PMP certification and/or a designation in the Scrum management methodology will be viewed positively
- Consummate communication skills characterized by excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- A track record delivering projects with complex deliverables on time and on budget while maintaining effective client and team relationships.
- Highly developed ability to manage relationships at senior levels and the needs of cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of project management tools, best practices and processes, specifically activity scheduling, estimating and work breakdown structures
- Strong understanding of business and functional requirements gathering, UX design and technical development

This is a senior-level, full-time, in-house position; applicants must live in, or be willing to relocate to the Vancouver area. International candidates may be considered.
