Sr. UX / Interaction Designer
Engine Digital is seeking an impassioned and innovation-driven Sr. UX / Interaction Designer to join our Vancouver-based studio.
Our team is focused on producing immersive digital marketing campaigns and platforms that span web, mobile, social, and experiential channels for leading brands in verticals that include sports, entertainment, and media. We strive to connect our clients' brands with their consumers through clever and innovative user experiences that reach, engage, and convert visitors to customers.
In the role of Sr. UX / Interaction Designer, you'll work within our Planning and Strategy team, playing a critical role in defining intuitive and inspiring systems, processes, and relationships that connect people to the user experience. You will play a critical role in the requirements gathering and ideation process, helping to identify user experience solutions that exceed the goals and objectives set by the project lead, our client partners, and their customers.
Working with the Client Engagement team, you will assist in the assessment of projects requirements, helping to identify suitable estimates and responses to project requests that require Discovery and Planning. Throughout the project you will collaborate with a nimble team of strategists, creatives, and developers, working towards a confident presentation of insightful work.
You'll pitch to different audiences: agency leaders, your design and development colleagues, client stakeholders and executives. It's not just the creation of tight, insightful documentation that matters. You have to be able to sell the big picture as well as the detail. You will be responsible for synthesizing feedback from all of these groups into coherent UX design artifacts that easily track back to business requirements. Over the course of a project you'll eliminate the gaps and flaws in strategy, refine the design and pursue opportunities for additional innovation, while honoring the broader context of the user experience objectives.
The ideal candidate will bring significant experience developing web, mobile and social user experiences and products that meet best practices and push the bounds of innovation. A personal relationship and working knowledge of platforms and technologies will prove your ability to know the rules and how to break them. Critical and subjective thinking, initiative to improve both product and process, along with an ability to work within, and lead a team is essential. If you're nodding your head right now, drop us a line.
